Working closely with medical staff leadership and the entire medical staff, including resident physician house staff, the Physician Advisor plays a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize the use of hospital services for all patients. This extends to collaborating with hospital leadership on care management protocols, optimizing efficient resource management, ensuring patients receive care at the appropriate level, supporting documentation and coding improvements, and compliance, as well as performing Peer to Peer reviews, Short Stay Reviews, and Extended Observation. Furthermore, the Physician Advisor is responsible for medical staff education, training, and providing periodic reports to the Board, Medical Executive Committee (MEC), and Joint Conference as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS:

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

Valid physician license in the state of Ohio

CHCQM Physician Advisor certification preferred

Board Certification in a medical specialty (current or former)

A minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience

Experience in utilization management and healthcare quality improvement

Proven leadership capabilities in a clinical setting
